project work

1. through my experince at the colombo, I have always tried to assess students previous knowdledge by doing activities in which they are to practice the functions and structures already seen by them,thus I can detect weaknesses and look for a way to reinforce topics students need to. On the other hand, the idea of having a group for two levels so we can work on project work are, in my opinion, not necessarily effective since students as well as teachers are already used to working together for one single cycle; however, changes always create expectation and I would be available to try this new experience.

Regarding the DYNAMIC INSTRUTIONAL DESIGN MODEL the steps seem interesting to me as long as we get a good trainig on the application of the model; on the other hand, establishing the learning environment should be, in my opinion, the starting point of this application since from there we can lead students to an appropriate learning process.



2. after checking the documents for lesson planning, i found out that they look interesting and complex, although they make me wonder on the application at our institution. Are they to be applied fort a whole book? lesson? unit? does the lesson planning refer only to the project work?

I apologize if these questions had already been dicussed in the first workshop but I prefer clarifying them

onestopenglish.com is an excellent resource to look for lessons, the strong points this web site has are the specific objectives and goals all lessons have, moreover it also uses the appropriate vocabulary according to students levels. on the other hand articles stay too long on the website so sometimes they become out of date.
